    History

Academy of Accelerated Learning (AAL) was established in 1998 to provide academic enrichment activities for low income, high risk youth from under-served areas of greater Houston. AAL is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which receives its funds primarily from State and Federal agencies. Additional funds are generally obtained through a competitive process and continued funding is dependent upon meeting and exceeding specific contractual requirements with respect to performance goals.

    Mission

To develop an accelerated learning environment that clearly charts a path for empowerment for primarily at-risk students to become tomorrow's problem solvers, thinkers, and leaders through participation in a wide variety of educational experiences appropriate to their age, interests, and needs. Our school staff will be encouraged to be innovative and will be given vehicles to plan, develop, and implement programs and activities that foster responsibility, academic achievement and lifelong learning in a safe and nurturing environment. To provide innovative and accelerated classroom learning in academic programs for Pre-K 5th grade.
